Ryan Hunter Reay Proud Of Being American

Ryan Hunter Reay is a professional race car driver known for being the only sole driver who won races of North America's Top open wheel formulas. His achievements are in CART (ChampCar World Series) and Indycar Series. He has also the recognition of being the sole american driver competing in open wheel competition that most of the times wins than the rest of American IndyCar drivers.

Just last week another boost to his career is when he won the IndyCar competition which he leads it and does making it a first time experience in his whole career. It is as well the first again after Sam Hornish Jr in the year of 2006 that leads the points.

Hornish in an interview mentioned, "It certainly does need successful Americans because it's an American series that competes mostly in the U.S.," "I like watching IndyCar races, the racing has been really good this year, and it's great that Ryan has been able to do what he's done. It's nice to see American drivers succeed."

Though Tony George intention of creating a series for American drivers after he left CART in the year 1996.
American drivers dominated until 2002. But after Hornish year 2006 championship that was the last title
for an american driver to hold.

Huter Reay also stated that, "For a little while, there was a lack of American talent," he said. "There was far less American talent than there is now. You had myself, Graham (Rahal) and Marco (Andretti). Certainly we have more numbers this year, and more Americans a little farther along in their careers."

Ryan is indeed a veteran in his sports and his consecutive win for this year which gave him 3 wins is a proof of how he works so hard in getting the title in his 9th season.

For now American Drivers like Hunter Reay, Michael Andretti, Robby Gordon and the rest gives a better look on the future of driving this festive sport.

Ryan also stated that, "As a genuine IndyCar fan, I rooted for the American drivers,"  "Long before I was ever go-karting,  I was watching IndyCar and cheering for the drivers from my country. So having successful American drivers is a big deal to some people, and maybe not to some others."

"Although being the top American is not something I focus on, I'm extremely patriotic and I'm definitely honored to be carrying the American flag at the front right now. Every time I get on the podium, I raise that thing up there because I'm proud of it."

National Auto Transport Company takes pride of Ryan Hunter Reay's recognition.
